Somehow I went from no photos to a huge backlog… taking them is no problem, but getting near my computer certainly seems to be at the moment!

It has been a while since I’ve been out in the early morning to photograph somewhere, and while I never forget how much I love the light at the beginning of the day, it was a pleasant reminder of the interesting scenarios it creates. It isn’t as golden as evening light, but can be every bit as beautiful. Somehow the mornings seem more peaceful – maybe because all the sensible people are only just getting out of bed!
If you’re a regular visitor, you’ll know I haven’t been posting as many photos as I have in past… fear not – I’ve still been taking them, it’s just taken a little longer to get them off my camera than usual! Some of these aren’t Brisbane – I’ve recently been on a couple of drives to the Sunshine Coast and rural NSW – so there’ll be a mixed bunch coming up in the next little while. Weirdly, I don’t like to post them in chronological order… more in groups of what I think go together well.
Yay for amazing weather, free time and relaxing! It’s nice to be catching up on a few things – computer and photos included. Brisbane is changing so much at the moment and I find it incredible – certain areas are full of new construction and cranes, and I’m intrigued to see what they all turn into… and the impact it will have on the surrounding area. Some spots currently get the most amazing afternoon light – and my gut feeling is that it will now be blocked by a new building. Lots more ‘before & after‘ photos to come – I’ve got a few to post as well, but I’m focussing on more important things at the moment!
