My new job means that I drive through the industrial areas that I feel like I’ve photographed a million times before. 15 minutes from my house – and therefore the go-to area in days of desperation (and/or not much time!) trying to find a photo for my 365 project. It’s amazing how much has changed in such a short period of time, and also how many new things I see with fresh eyes. Some buildings have always looked the way they do, but I’ve never paid attention. Others have been repainted/rebranded. Some aren’t there any more. And some look amazing when I see them at different times of day! My camera is always in my bag, and I made a decision a couple of weeks ago that if something was worth photographing, it was worth using my camera to do so… you know, the one I paid lots of money for, not my phone! I have lots more images to go through as a result, and I’m loving it.
